拔尖人才培养领域权威专家。毕业于美国Arizona State University，获政策分析和管理学博士。曾就职于美国智库戈德华研究所(Goldwater Institute)。主要研究方向为宏观和微观教育政策与管理研究、拔尖人才培养的理论和实证研究。2023年和2024年连续两年入选爱思唯尔(Elsevier)发布的“中国高被引学者”榜单。曾荣获第六届全国教育科学研究优秀成果二等奖和第十四届北京市哲学社会科学优秀成果奖二等奖。2022年到2024年连续三次获得“天元拔尖创新人才(超常儿童)教育奖”。在Higher Education和《教育研究》等国内外学术期刊发表论文50余篇，其中16篇论文被《新华文摘》和《中国人民大学复印报刊资料》转载 (9篇被《新华文摘》转载)。研究成果多次获得中央和省部级领导批示，参加中央教育工作领导小组会议，为拔尖人才选育的国家标准的制定提供重要决策参考。发表中英文专著2部。主持国家社科基金项目，教育部人文社科规划基金项目，北京市哲学社科基金重点项目、国务院委托项目、科技部委托项目、北京市教育规划项目、国家高端智库项目等多项国家和省部级科研课题。担任Education Sciences (SSCI 一区)等国内外四个期刊的特刊主编和编委会成员。
荣获清华大学第七届和第八届“清韵烛光·我最喜爱的教师”校级提名奖、清华大学“大学生学术研究推进计划”特聘导师、清华大学学生社会实践优秀指导教师（多次指导清华大学本科生学生支队获得社会实践金奖）、美国Arizona State University 优秀教师突出贡献奖。
